Looking for a Mac

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

I am in search for a new Mac. My G4 has gone past it’s prime, so it is time to find something faster. Therefore, I am asking the audience if they have one to give, or trade for service – even a sponsorship on Geekazine or Dorkazine could be arranged. If you would like to help out, please let me know.

Catching up from Vegas

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

Well, it’s 3 days since I got back from Vegas and I think I’m finally catching up. Oh wait. Nope, I’m not.

Just cleaned out the fish tank. The fish look happier and the tank looks cleaner. Also got all the laundry done. YAY!

This cold is really a drag. Concerned about Alex – he looks somewhat depressed. He needs a good place to run around, but with this weather, it’s tough to take him out. I think we’ll take a walk once this cold spell snaps.

Although I wished I would have been in Vegas during this cold snap, it’s still good to have CES over. It was a great experience and I met a lot of cool people. I am still going through all the contacts.

This Saturday I will be joining Andy and Todd on the Roundtable talking about CES. I am going to discuss emerging technologies. Will be a good roundtable.

Finally, I am uploading the pictures to the Geekazine MySpace page. Just added the Techpodcasts videos to that part.

More later…

CNTR-STG at CES

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Sitting at HP’s CNTR-STG working on a HP HDX Premium Series laptop. They have a pretty good line here and I am really impressed. We are a short while away their major announcement, so we’ll post what is going on.

So far Vegas is awesome! I entered a cab and the driver just happened to be from Madison. We got to talk about many different things locally.

I walked from the South Hall back to Monte Carlo. It was a 1 1/2 hour walk but the sights were great. I saw ICE, the club from a reality TV show that aired for a year.

We will be heading over to Digital Experience a little later, shooting tons of channel news and getting home late for an early wakeup.

After all, who needs sleep?
